I till love shooting with my film cameras. I grew up with them and I probably could never put them away. Once in a while I would take one of them out and walked around the cities wherever I was, shoot a few rolls and have a great time.
It's always a challenge when shooting film for me especially when the camera isn't equipped with a light meter, I have to really pay attention. I often use the light meter app on my phone. It is a big help for a starting point.
When I picked up my films from drug stores, I would pray that they changed the chemical frequently and decent scanners. Most of the time, they are OK for the internet use, but some I can't use any of the images at all because of the poor quality scanned files. For me, shooting film is a lot of fun and it's a great way of sharpening my skill.
I would recommend picking up a film camera. They are relatively inexpensive. You can have a lot of fun by spend a day walking around the city. You'd never know what you'll find.
